He holds a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology, at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur in La Paz, Mexico.
Worked on the management plan and regulation of the use and protection of the region in the formation of the El Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve. He also worked as Coordinator of the Gray Whale Management Program, As Inspector of Ecology with SEDUE, B.C.S. and as volunteer coordinator, as well as coordinator of Research and Environmental Impact, all of this in the Biosphere Reserve “El Vizcaíno”.
Among his most outstanding functions we can also mention that he has served as Professor of the Center for Technical Studies of the Sea (CETMAR For its acronym in Spanish), at Guerrero Negro, B.C.S. and as Coordinator of the Department of Aquaculture also at CETMAR.
