He is an Oceanologist, graduated from the Faculty of Marine Sciences of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in 1994.

He studied a diploma in environmental management at the UABC (1998) and a master’s degree in coastal oceanography at the Faculty of Marine Sciences of the UABC (2002). He has collaborated with various non-governmental organizations in conservation and environmental protection projects since 2000. Founding partner and Director of Lorax Consultores, he has been technical director of more than 300 projects in the environmental field and 20 projects related to coastal engineering. Since 2006, he is professor at UABC, where he teaches the courses of environmental impact and physical pollution of the environment.
